Benchmarking
The CostFlex system has both
internal and external benchmarking standard reports and
capabilities. Some of the reporting categories listed below
have multiple selection and output formats from which a
million or more unique outputs could be framed.

In addition to the standard reports,
each CostFlex user can join with other CostFlex users to
create external reporting datasets that they exchange.
After receiving two or more of these external data sets from
other users, the software allows them to be imported and
then provides for side-by-side comparisons.
Marginal costing (a separate page
describes this feature) becomes an important tool when
side-by-side comparisons are generated to insure that the
costs and payments being compared are equivalent. For
example, you would want to remove the building depreciation
from the comparison if one Trust had newly constructed
facilities and another had much older facilities.
